Think Make sure that the sale of farmland near urban areas to developers is a good idea, given the U.S. population rapid growth?
I am against the sale of land for agricultural development first, whether for homes or businesses. I'm great conservation of resources and I think the loss of agricultural land harm our people more than the lack of new housing. What surprises me is that when the drive in big cities, you see many buildings that are sitting vacant and for sale, but the store next door to build new things. Why not use the old building and just change it instead of building something completely new. There are many reasons to limit the development of conservation techniques wherever possible, on poor sites, increasing the materials sealed surfaces almost always a negative effect on the quality of our water, and perhaps most important is that the farms to provide food. You begin to limit the number of farms and restrict their diet. For me, it's a high price to pay for a new home or office. I Raised on a farm, still live in the country on a farm. Whether near an urban center or not, I still feel that the massive development of agricultural land as we see today is not simply a response to the home of the U.S. population is increasing.
