What are housing values have dropped the highest percentage?
Have the values of homes in expensive neighborhoods fell more chic, or that the modest homes have declined in value of the most proportionately? Is this a reflection of who is most affected by economic recession and the escalating cost of heating, gas, food, etc?
Location, location, location. Although expensive houses have lost significant value, the value houses in most urban high end were not as severely affected as the communities that have experienced the strongest growth in recent years. Most markets for inland California were hardest hit. These areas east of San Francisco and Los Angeles and northern San Diego. They reflect the capacity of families to keep your house and demand for them. Demand is highest in more markets.In dense urban areas where low-income families have used their capital to survive, the seizures were the highest, and the dramatic increase in bank owned properties have flooded the markets. Beverly Hills is always high as most families could afford to live that have not been expelled by the bankruptcy proceedings.
