housing questions/ families move when their doing their special training?
Does anyone know if when your husband does his Advanced Individual Training for what they want, I think he wants to do Health Specialist and it's 16 weeks, if we are able relocate by him, or if they are paying for housing for us?
and also, after they are done with the training, how soon do they get stationed somewhere?
If you're speaking of Health Care Specialist for the US Army then he will be going to Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas for the duration of his training after Basic Training. It is not an AIT that is over 6 months therefore you will not join him as a family. He will be receiving Basic Allowance for Housing based upon YOUR location. Once he finishes training, he will come home for 10-14 days leave, after which he will report to his duty station. You may accompany him at that time or go once he's set up there..which I personally suggest.
