Steven D. Levitt is the economist. Stephen J. Dubner is a writer. But Freakonomics is more about statistics and what to do with what is in the economy.
The book is very interesting reading and reminds me of the book by John Allen Paulos, is fear. Freakonomics authors say there is no unifying theme for the book, but I'm not agree. The unifying theme, as in the fear of numbers, it is an issue about how people in general, misinterpreted and misunderstood statistics and cause and effect in society.
But before yourself that statistics and mathematics are boring and so Dona't read the book, think again. This book is phenomenal bestseller The New York Times for a reason.
Dubner and Levitt use examples to present shocking statistics and the cause and effects to life.

- It is the sharp drop in crime in New York due to Julian Fantino? This response, therefore, can be found in the book
Freakonomics is on my list of the ten best books of history. I think that anyone reading it I love so much, except perhaps for Mary Rosh (Read the book to find out why Mary Rosh wouldnÂ't probably like it).
I have one, and only a criticism of the book. Freakonomics ends with an anecdote about Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber) to help visualize an argument of some. Using anecdotes is one of the main reasons why so many are unable lack of knowledge to calculate the statistics and the causes and effects.
