I intend to move to New York. What is the best way to research jobs and housing?

I am a single woman looking for a change. Is it difficult to enter the field of entertainment?

Manhattan is very expensive. Really for the rich. The rent is 3k +. As mentioned earlier lemonade is good sign. As streeteasy.com find an apartment that is good and craigslist.com. There are many options for lodging outside Manhattan that are more affordable. I do not know nothing about the entertainment business though.
