College Student Looking for housing: Can Parental Guarantee help me if my parents don't have great credit?
Hi, I am going to a university and about to look for housing, I am 24 and I haven't worked in two years while attending the university. My credit is ok but I wanted to get a place of my own (studio/1 bedroom) I was wondering WHAT is Parental Guarantee and can it help me get a place (even if my parents don't have very good credit) but my Dad has been working at his job for over 15 years?
Your Father can complete the application process just like you do. You will introduce him as your co-signor or guarantor. He will sign the lease, but not occupy the unit. He will be liable financially, should you falter on the lease terms.
