Why do people pay thousands for timeshares when you get the same thing on EBAY for dollars? What scam?
Go to EBAY --- type Timeshare. You will surprised to see what is selling timeshares. This is a Gold Crown (RCI) and 5 Stars (II). This is the same thing that the High Pressure SALES PEOPLE trying to sale you ((Very nice condo.) Dominated Orlando and other places frequented vacation) during the 10's of thousands. Heck, you even can go to sites like Expedia travel and Priceline and rent a place for the same tax and maintenance will continue. It's just a matter of time before Congress involved. I wonder how stupid people must feel when timeshare they are worth $ 100. However, sales of resort to 15K.
The timeshare market saturated which is why they are so cheap. So many people buy something they do not understand. In the market something that is only worth what someone is willing to pay. This applies to timeshares and houses today. Retail prices for timeshare are increased because the salesperson is to make a nice commission and so does the resort. The cost of building the resort is very big. Congress will not be involved because no crime occurred. Timeshares have been on the up and up since the 90s when industry must overhaul the industry. Before that they could sell 200 weeks to room week 52. This is one reason people become Leary timeshares. I bought mine retail. I do not pay lots and dumping into my home loan to pay it off means a big fat tax break for me. I have zero desire to sell mine because I'm using it and loving it. I've been all over place with the transfer and the like. When I retire I'll get a few extra weeks so I can enjoy it that much more. I could buy from one of the different from ebay so I can save a few bucks.
