How do you tell and get your first child used to the idea and the realty of a new baby coming n 9months?

i have a 3year old daughter just curious on how i should tell her and how i can prepare her for this and not feel second best or anything like that im about 8weeks any advice ? This will be my second baby :):)

We are letting our daughter get as involved as possible. She is going to be two years old this month, but understands a lot more than I expected. We told her (I can't remember how many weeks, but really early on) that there was a baby in Mama's belly and she was going to have a little sister in a few months. We told her that there was going to be a new baby--kind of like her dolls, only real. This was hard for her to understand, so whenever we saw a baby on TV or in person we told her she was getting one in a few months. We constantly reminded her about the baby and asked her where the baby was. She pointed to my belly. When we had our ultrasound at 20 weeks to find out the sex, she went with us. When the baby came up on the screen, we told her "that's the baby!" She smiled and seemed to understand, I think. It took a long time (I got a free student ultrasound, so the teacher had to explain a lot) so our daughter fell asleep. When she woke up we told her she was getting a baby sister! It took her a while to remember the baby was a girl. Then when we named the baby, we told her the name (Ivey). She remembers now when we ask what her baby sister's name is, and says "name Ivey!" It's adorable. Finally, the other day I watched Orgasmic Birth with her. We are hoping to have a homebirth similar to many of the births in that video, and if our daughter is awake at the time and open to it, we'd like to have her with us. I explained that the women in the movie were having babies, and every time one was born we clapped and cheered. She enjoyed it and was interested, and by the end of the movie, she was saying "and Mama have baby, too!" We still have three months to go, but we keep talking about Ivey and how she'll get to hold her and teach her things. By the time the baby gets here, I'm hoping she'll be prepared and happy to see her. I have a ton of baby carriers (slings, wraps, etc of all kinds) so I can wear the baby and breastfeed her while still participating hands-on in my older daughter's activities. This will hopefully help her feel every bit as loved as her little sister--because she is. When I think of her bonding with the little one, I just love her even more
