How can a father see his son in California?
My wife and I are still married. We have been separated since April and that a child of 8 months. Me approached the house on 9 / 3 and saw all my things out in the backyard. We talked on the phone tonight. The next day, my wife sought and obtained an order prohibiting domestic violence that was subsequently dismissed. At the end of the hearing, the judge gave my wife let me see my son this weekend. The next day, she changed their number. I went to court to file an ex parte hearing was rejected. I had to file for custody and the first day I could get was 14 November, which means since I have not seen my son in 3 months by then and will be almost a year. When I spoke with bailiffs, police and sheriffs say they all just "wait until your hearing date." When this happens to my son shave. What can I do to see my son (legally) and keep him out of state?
You have my sympathy. Most courts are in favor of the mother. Get the best lawyer you can find. Do what your lawyer tells you to do. Tell updated his lawyer. Talk to your lawyer a day or two before each hearing date to refresh the memory of his lawyer. Whatever you do, do not let your wife for some reason lodge complaints against him. I wish Best of luck.
